HOT Holidays At Home Workout

December 23, 2014 by Julie 24 Comments

If you’re traveling this week and have limited (or no) access to a gym, it can be hard to keep up your workout motivation. Of course it’s okay to take some time away from your usual workouts and soak up the holiday fun, but if your body is craving a sweat session and you are looking for a way to sneak in some movement in the comfort of your own home, hotel room or family member’s home, I wanted to share a quick 30-minute workout with you.

This boot camp-style session does not require any equipment and incorporates upper body, lower body, core and cardio exercises for a total body workout.

Bodyweight Workout

Here are a few links to demos/descriptions of some of the exercises that may not be as familiar:

  • Chest To Floor Push Ups
  • Squat With Leg Raise
  • Dolphin Push Ups
  • Butt Kickers

Hope this workout helps you sneak some fitness into your holiday break! Enjoy and happy, happy holidays!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Looks like a great workout! I won’t have access to a gym for the holidays, so I’m checking out lots of bodyweight/no equipment workouts. Thanks for this!

Love this! My gym closes on Christmas day only, but I’m taking some hot yoga and barre classes to switch things up this week.

Love! Some added motivation to stay fit over the holidays when it’s tougher to get a workout in (and gyms are closed).

Julie, thanks for this! I was planning to go to a cycling class tonight but really need something “else” than just cardio. Now I can stay IN on this dreary, cold, gross NC day and do this workout. It looks great!

Chest to floor push ups and pulsing squats always do the trick! They are so tough!

    Merry Christmas!

Thanks for this! I probably do close to half my workouts at home, and often find them more effective than what I do at the gym, but they usually involve too many plyos to be done politely in second floor guest bedroom . . . This looks challenging without being noisy!
