Aggro Crag

July 11, 2012 by Julie 90 Comments

This morning I am writin’ like lightnin’.

I have an early appointment at the dermatologist and am sitting here with sopping wet hair that still needs some attention, so let’s get to it!

Workout

My day began with 30 minutes of cardio split between the treadmill and the elliptical. I didn’t do any crazy-fast running or inclines, but my face still ended up red and sweaty after my time on the treadmill. Even slow jogging on the treadmill makes my face sweat like crazy!

After some cardio, it was time for a 30-minute TRX class. Last week’s class was canceled because of the Fourth of July, so I was anxious to get back into it today!

We did three different circuits consisting of two exercises each that we performed for 30 seconds for a total of three rounds.

  • Circuit One: Squat jumps with TRX + Lunges on Bosu ball
  • Circuit Two: Push ups with TRX + Running on and off Bosu ball
  • Circuit Three: Reverse flyes with TRX + Crunches on Bosu ball

During the class a bunch of us talked about the TV show American Ninja Warrior in between circuits.

Have you guys seen this show? It’s based on the Tokyo Broadcast System show Sasuke, and people try to complete a ridiculously hard obstacle course to win $500,000. It’s Ryan’s dream to be on it.

I, personally, would rather be on Nickelodeon’s Guts.

Oh how I long for a piece of the Aggro Crag.

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning was a delicious egg bagelwich topped with cheese and raspberry jelly.

Plus a spoonful of almond butter while the bagel was toasting.

Easy to eat while blogging. Smile

See ya this afternoon!

Question of the Morning

  • If you could be on any game show, what game show would you want to be on?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

ANW is my boyfriend’s personal obsession. It’s sick, actually. He can watch it for hours!

I totally wanted to be on Guts when I was younger! Me and my sister used to make our own “Guts” show. HAHA!

First off….great workout this morning. I just love the TRX:)

Not sure what game show I’d want to me on but lately I’ve been watching Extreme Makeover…the weight loss edition and I’d like to be a trainer on it.

I own my own training company and I can definitely see myself doing something like this…I would love to help people get healthy and learn the lifestyle.

    Have a great day:)

Jepordy! So nerdy and I would probably make a fool of myself (some days are just too hard), but I love it.

Back in the day it would have been Double Dare!! That was the coolest show ever as a kid.

These days I would love to be on Amazing Race!! I would probably be divorced if I went with my husband though….so maybe not the best idea, lol!!

I actually auditioned for the very first Big Brother years ago. I made it to the semi-finals but obviously, that is as far as I got. I still love to watch it though!!

I would LOVE to be on Wheel of Fortune! It seems easy enough & everyone walks away with at least a little something.

Did you ever see the show Supermarket Sweep?! It was on years ago, but that was another good one. Stocking up on huge tubs of olive oil was always my favorite strategy to see!

I loved watching MXC before they went off air here. I used to watch the original Japanese Ninja Warrior several years ago but I haven’t watched the American one. I didn’t like how they had a separate Women Ninja Warrior course. They probably felt that women are challenged differently than men and didn’t see a problem, and there isn’t really a problem. I just always felt like they were saying the women weren’t good enough to beat the normal course (even though most of the dudes that tried couldn’t either) and it rubbed me the wrong way. I personally can’t do either course though so what do I know 😛

That bagel sandwich looks delicious! I would never think to add jelly to the mix but I bet that would taste really good! I usually just stick to a bagel, egg, and cheese. I’ll definitely try jelly next time though! Thanks for sharing!

    Tough question!

When was GUTS on the air? I’ve never heard of it!

If I was going to be on a game show, I’d have to pick jeopardy (some sort of slightly-easier-than-normal version, or else I’d walk away with like negative $10 000, I always think I know the answers but only right like 25% of the time); or Wipeout – because that show just looks like a ridiculous amount of fun.

I was playing around on Pinterest and saw this dessert and immediately thought of you and Ryan! Cookies and Creme Cheesecake Cupcakes! It doesn’t get much better than that! Here is the link to the recipe if you want to try it out 🙂

I saw the title of your post and was like “Is Julie talking about guts?” “She’s even more awesome than I thought!”

As for you question, I’d probably wanted to do Figure it Out the most. I did complete the online quiz for Jeopardy and didn’t do too shabby, so we shall see!

I have the most recent episode of ANW waiting for me on my DVR!!! I love that show! It’s inspiring as I am training for a Tough Mudder in Oct.
Do you ever watch WIPEOUT?I used to think it’s funny, but not so much anymore. It’s getting a little outta control w/ the voice overs and what not.
Not sure what game show I’d want to be on…what was the one with “no wammies”???

Personally I WAY prefer the original Ninja Warrior to the American version.
The American version just doesnt even come close to matching the awesome ridiculousness of the Japanese version!

Nickelodeon had the BEST game shows in the 90s. They need to make a comeback!

I always wanted to be on Animal Planet’s Zooventure. They winning prize was to be zookeeper of the San Deigo zoo for the day, how cool would that be?!
