Footie Pajamas

May 1, 2013 by Julie 120 Comments

While I was away on vacation last week, I turned 28! My birthday was on Saturday, but since we were traveling, Ryan saved my gifts for me to open at home when we returned from our trip.

Last night was birthday celebration night in our house!

Check out one of my snazzy gifts:

Polka Dot Footie Pajamas Onsie

Pretty sweet, huh!?

Though this may seem like a rather random gift, there’s actually a story behind the pajamas.

When we were in Ireland last March, it was freezing and one night when we were outside walking around, I said, “All I want to do is cuddle up in a pair of ridiculously warm pajamas.”

“The kind with the feet?” Ryan asked.

“YES!” I said. We then went on a mission to find footie pajamas and searched in a handful of department stores with no luck.

Obviously I was pretty darn excited to get a pair of footie pajamas for my birthday… Just in time for summer in Florida. Ha!

Workout

Today’s workout began on the elliptical before I headed into the weight room to complete Workout B from Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp. It felt good to make my muscles burn a bit!

Breakfast

After my time at the gym, I headed home and made myself a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, strawberry jelly and Ezekiel toast.

IMG_0970

Sweet and savory! I love it!

Now I’m off to work. I am working late today, so I don’t think I’ll have a chance to blog after (or during) lunch, but I’m not sure how lunch breaks work just yet, so we shall see!

Question of the Afternoon

  • What is the strangest gift you’ve ever received?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Well happy late birthday! My birthday is Tuesday, so my strangest gift may change soon, but as of now it was a jar of pickles. I am a pickle lover from way back, so for my birthday one year my sister got me one of those HUGE economy size jars of pickles. I laughed and proceeded to eat the whole jar (with help) in less than a week.

HA HA HA I think footie pajamas are scary. I’d feel like a crazy person!
The funniest gift I ever got was when hubby & I started dating. We had only beend ating 2 months when my birthday came around and he bought us matching wrestling shirts. We joke about it to this day. The next year he did better – he took me to see N’SYNC in concert!

The strangest gift I received was from my sister-in-law. I would definitely call her a hippie and she likes to save things she finds and reuse them. She got me fire starters and a bunch of that days newspaper. Pretty different but it’s the thought that counts.

For my 25th birthday, my friends put together a chocolate-themed gift basket! It had really interesting items like Tabasco Spicy chocolate, chocolate red wine, edamame crunch chocolate bar, stout&smoke chocolate bar, etc. I enjoyed trying each of them and thought the gift basket was unique and fun!

I finally took the plunge yesterday and followed a ton of your tips on how to get started. I read dozens of blogs daily, but yours is by far my favorite :).

Those pjs are birth contro 🙂

I once rec’d a bottle of deoderant, all wrapped up fancy, from an ex who would “shop” for toiletries in my bathroom and groceries in my kitchen. I was less than impressed….I think he gave it to me as I started to hide stuff from him when he came over so by giving me that he’d be sure to “have one to steal” … Moron 🙂

Random gift: my parents think they’re hilarious and for our 16th birthdays they give us a bag of “dates”…like the nasty pruny things. Then they make us eat one and take a picture of our “first date”. They’re dorks. But I love them.
