Workout
Today started like any other Friday in our household… with a sweaty workout.
Ryan and I headed to the gym an initially hopped on side-by-side ellipticals, but when Ryan’s machine started clicking and making funky noises, we hopped off and decided to do 20 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill instead.
I honestly feel like walking on an incline can be harder than running at times. Phew.
Treadmill time was followed by an upper-body workout that included the following exercises:
- Superset One: Lat pull downs + Upright rows
- Superset Two: Incline bicep curls + Overhead press
- Superset Three: Tricep dips + Chest press
- Tricep pull downs
- Bicep curls (3 minutes non-stop, inspired by BodyPump)
- Mac raises (Also inspired by BodyPump)
- Ab work on the exercise ball
My arms feel like Jello now!

Clearly I’m still on my egg sandwich kick. Mmm.

Since it’s officially fall, I’ll be eating a bowl of pumpkin oats with almond butter every morning until probably Christmas (including this morning)!
I’m making oatmeal harvest cookies this weekend! Made with oats, pumpkin, raisins and all kinds of yummy fall spices! Soooo delicious! 🙂

Ooh! What a fun giveaway! I’m been on a pumpkin pancake kick lately so I’ve been enjoying whole grain pancakes with canned pumpkin mixed right into the batter. So good with some butter and a little syrup on top 🙂

I loveee whole grains! Last night had whole grain pasta with spinache, tomatoes, and goat cheese it was delicious!! I was actually just thinking about buying a nano since my iPod now has completely died and I use it EVERYDAY this would be awesome 🙂
Awesome giveaway! I had a bowl of whole grains this morning! Oats of course (more specifically, chocolate coconut oats). I also have a leftover zucchini pasta disd for lunch that includes whole grain penne. I love some whole grains!

Last night I made slow cooker buffalo chicken, and put them on a whole wheat bun!
I ate a whole wheat english muffin with egg and cheese for breakfast and I have a whole wheat pita with tuna salad for lunch.
Quaker Instant Oatmeal (brown sugar) with added dried blueberries – is one of my absolute favorites to start my morning off. I always feel full and satisfied until lunch 🙂
My last whole grain meal? Big bowl of shredded wheat cereal & milk for breakfast!
I had greek yogurt with whole grain cereal and a nectarine mixed in for breakfast!!
For lunch today, I am having peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat bread! 🙂
I just had a whole wheat pita with natural PB, honey and banana – yum! And on top of my fridge sits the largest container of quaker oats available at the grocery store, it won’t even fit in the cabinets haha. great giveaway!

This morning I had a bowl of Quaker oatmeal 🙂 with banana and cinnamon.
I had barley for breakfast, topped with cinnamon and vanilla. It was a nice change from my usual oatmeal– and I wore my “I Heart Whole Grains” tee shirt from Kashi, too!
i created a mini pizza for a snack yesterday! used a flatout wrap, spread hummus on the bottom, then steamed spinach, then topped with goat cheese. toasted for 3 minutes until cheese began to melt. so delicious!
I just had a bowl of quaker old fashioned oats with banana, chia seeds, almond breeze, and a little peanut butter on top 🙂
I plan to make yummy, hot oatmeal to enjoy with a cup of coffee this saturday morning!
