Start Blogging Now

July 29, 2013 by Julie 386 Comments

Thanks so much for all of you well wishes following my post about my trip to the emergency room on Saturday night. It was definitely an unnerving experience, but I’m glad it wasn’t any worse. After resting most of the day yesterday, I am feeling much better today!

Workout

My Monday began as usual with an early morning workout that focused on my legs. I kept cardio on the lighter side and completed a 10 minute elliptical warm up and cool down.

The lower body strength portion of my workout included squats, dead lifts, lunges, leg extensions and hamstring stability ball curls. It was a good one!

I will be heading back to the gym as soon as this blog post is published for work. I am subbing for another group exercise instructor today and hope it goes well!

Breakfast

The highlight of my morning meal was almond butter!

Last night I prepped a bowl of overnight oats and stirred a small spoonful of almond butter into the mix. This morning, I added another scoop on top and loved the addition of the creamy nut butter!

Nice and filling!

Now it’s time for a fun giveaway for those of you out there who may be interested in starting your own blog!

Start Blogging Now

Every single day, I receive emails from people who want to begin blogging but don’t know where to start. They’re excited, enthusiastic and completely overwhelmed. I typed up my Blog Talk Tuesdays series to help address the most common questions I receive, but when it comes to coding and all that jazz, most questions are way over my head.

When my friend and go-to web guy, Tim, emailed me about his new business, I knew I want to help spread the word. Tim is so, so knowledgeable and explains things in a way that makes them easy to understand which, as someone who is extremely intimidated by html coding and website set up, I really appreciate!

Tim recently launched Start Blogging Now, a six-week program detailing everything you need to know about setting up a blog, self-hosting, great plug-ins, high-quality themes, SEO, social media and more.

image

Each week there will be an in-depth video for participants to download and watch at their own pace or as often as needed. In addition, there will be written instructions, helpful links, and any necessary files that may be needed.

Here are the topics for each week:

The program also includes a weekly conference call to answer any lingering questions.

For the first 100 people who sign up, the program is $70, 50 percent off the normal enrollment price of $140. Tim also offers a 30-day money back guarantee, so if you are not satisfied halfway through the course, you can request a refund.

The first session will begin on August 1 and one PBF reader will win free access to the program!

To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, telling me what excites you the most about blogging. I will randomly select a winner on Tuesday.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I think blogging is such a great way to express yourself and connect with people with similar interest. I have started a blog but I would love some assistance. I think this 6 week course would be very beneficial to me!

What gets me most excited about blogging is the community aspect. There’s noting like reading a post by someone and knowing exactly what they’re feeling at that moment. It’s all about connecting with different people!

I like the self-expression also. I started blogging when I would go on run’s with the Lord and it was a way for me to express the thoughts and ideas we shared, also to express my love for Him and His for not only me but everyone. I would love to get better at blogging but I know there are a TON of amazing bloggers out there also so good luck to everyone!
    And thanks for the chance!

What excites me most about blogging is getting the opportunity to share my viewpoints and experiences on a larger scale, in hopes that the things I experience may in some way relate to other people on a personal level. It’s always so comforting to read someone’s blog post and think to myself, “Ohhhh, I am not the only one!”

Sharing your experiences with others and being able to connect with people you would never have met otherwise is so exciting. Blogging can bring people together and you can learn so much from reading or writing a blog.

What a great idea for a company! I’d love to do the workshop because I’ve been considering making the switch from a .wordpress blog to my own .com and I’m super intimidated by all the coding and extra work!

Sharing my experiences and also reading about other people’s experiences. Sometimes, it’s just as interesting reading the comments when you ask questions as it is reading about your opinions.

I love connecting with others through blogging and sharing inside on different topics! Also would love to win this giveaway just to have a better understanding of “behind the blog” works. I know enough to keep my blog up and running with minor changes. It not nearly as much as I would like to.

I would love to win a pass to this class! I currently blog for my company which is fun because I get to learn about all sorts of different aspects of my company’s products that I wouldn’t learn about otherwise. But I would really like to start my own personal blog and just need to find the motivation and time to get it started!

It would be so awesome to get some great education and wisdom on starting my own blog. I am just now starting to speak to groups, especially women, about my struggles with food /sugar addiction and the freedom I have found. I want to encourage women to know who they are and be able to appreciate that.

I have to say that the most exciting thing about blogging for me is finally be able to share my thoughts and knowledge about nutrition and daily life because I keep a daily journal where I write the things I did during the day or what I ate and such and since I take daily pictures of what I eat and where I am since, well, forever… I feel I have a lot of material and it´s as if I already have a blog because of the millions of pictures and documents of my journals I have.

I want to help people through my blog. I am 18 years old and attending college this fall. I have been struggling with an eating disorder for nearly 4 years now and after a year of therapy I have learned so much about society and discovered communities of that share similar struggles. It has helped me immensely to talk to others, and I want to share my stories through a blog–what better way to begin connecting to a community? Especially considering how often young girls are using the internet nowadays. My therapist and I have been blueprinting my blog for about a month now and I am so excited to get it up and running!

I have always wanted to start a blog but felt so awkward essentially “blogging” to myself while building a follower-base. I think this would really help me learn how to be captivating and write things that people would want to read!

I quit my full time job a few months ago and went back to school full time to finish earning my MBA as well as studying to be a certified personal trainer and holistic health practitioner. I have wanted to start a blog since then, but it seems a little overwhelming. I actually just finally came up with a name and theme for my blog and purchased a domain name! I am so excited to begin a blogging journey to share my love for health, wellness, and fitness! PB Fingers was the first blog I ever started to read and I just love it and you are such a motivation!!

what excites me about blogging? Well, a really good one can be so inspiring; reading a great post makes me appreciate and take notice of things going on either in other people’s experiences or in mine. Blogs help me remember to be proactive and to live in the present but to plan for the future. What’s not to love!
