Start Blogging Now

July 29, 2013 by Julie 386 Comments

Thanks so much for all of you well wishes following my post about my trip to the emergency room on Saturday night. It was definitely an unnerving experience, but I’m glad it wasn’t any worse. After resting most of the day yesterday, I am feeling much better today!

Workout

My Monday began as usual with an early morning workout that focused on my legs. I kept cardio on the lighter side and completed a 10 minute elliptical warm up and cool down.

The lower body strength portion of my workout included squats, dead lifts, lunges, leg extensions and hamstring stability ball curls. It was a good one!

I will be heading back to the gym as soon as this blog post is published for work. I am subbing for another group exercise instructor today and hope it goes well!

Breakfast

The highlight of my morning meal was almond butter!

almond butter overnight oats

Last night I prepped a bowl of overnight oats and stirred a small spoonful of almond butter into the mix. This morning, I added another scoop on top and loved the addition of the creamy nut butter!

Nice and filling!

Now it’s time for a fun giveaway for those of you out there who may be interested in starting your own blog!

Start Blogging Now

Every single day, I receive emails from people who want to begin blogging but don’t know where to start. They’re excited, enthusiastic and completely overwhelmed. I typed up my Blog Talk Tuesdays series to help address the most common questions I receive, but when it comes to coding and all that jazz, most questions are way over my head.

When my friend and go-to web guy, Tim, emailed me about his new business, I knew I want to help spread the word. Tim is so, so knowledgeable and explains things in a way that makes them easy to understand which, as someone who is extremely intimidated by html coding and website set up, I really appreciate!

Tim recently launched Start Blogging Now, a six-week program detailing everything you need to know about setting up a blog, self-hosting, great plug-ins, high-quality themes, SEO, social media and more.

image

Each week there will be an in-depth video for participants to download and watch at their own pace or as often as needed. In addition, there will be written instructions, helpful links, and any necessary files that may be needed.

Here are the topics for each week:

start blogging now topics

The program also includes a weekly conference call to answer any lingering questions.

For the first 100 people who sign up, the program is $70, 50 percent off the normal enrollment price of $140. Tim also offers a 30-day money back guarantee, so if you are not satisfied halfway through the course, you can request a refund.

The first session will begin on August 1 and one PBF reader will win free access to the program!

To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, telling me what excites you the most about blogging. I will randomly select a winner on Tuesday.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I use to blog two years ago and quit after my dad passed away suddenly. After having my baby (whose now nine months old) I feel that urge again, but a LOT has changed in the tech world and its so overwhelming!

I randomly started a blog more for my own use than anything else. I just needed an outlet to get things out of my head and to express myself a bit more creatively than my day job allows me to. I update is every so often, whenever something pops into my head – but I’ve only toyed with the idea of making it into a “real” blog. It’s the most basic format that I could find on Blogger and doesn’t have any bells or whistles, save for the occasional link or image. So I’d really love to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes and would go into making my baby blog a full-fledged adult blog.

I get really excited about helping people. I am studying to become a hollistic nutritionist, and have found that providing a place where people can come and learn how to change their lives is overwhelmingly rewarding. I love creating new recipes and ideas, and providing healthy substitutions for “indulgent” foods. It is also exciting to find your own voice. I love that my new blog is a place where I can really be me.

Well, I already have a blog on sparkpeople.com but that one only members can comment on it and so it’s not exactly what I want. I want to start my own blog on wordpress so that I can share my weight loss (I’ve lost 38 pounds so far, had lost 48 but gained back 10), keep me accountable, and just share my healthy living enthusiasm with the world! I will be starting a healthy living/ weight loss blog eventually no matter what but I do feel a bit overwhelmed with the whole process. That is the main reason I have not started one yet.

I am currently finishing school to get my degree in Nutrition Communications. My long term goal is to be self employed doing freelance writing for fitness websites and magazines. I really need and want a blog to be able to have articles I’ve written on there for the public as well as to reference potential clients and business partners too. This would be an amazing opportunity (: and it would really help get my career and life in swing!!!

Where I live, the quiet/snowbird capital of FL, lol, it is a rarity to see anyone close in age interested in the same things as me! However, when I come home, I can read and share stories with people all over and feel connected 🙂

Blogging is like having a best friend that is interested in all of the same hobbies as you and is always ready with a new recommendation. I get to read ideas and opinions from people that I never would have met otherwise. I love reading blogs and I would really like some help starting one myself!

I would like to start a blog (a) as an outlet for all my pent-up creativity — working in finance doesn’t really do it for me!– and (b) to help people live healthier, happier lives.

I was going through an extremely tough time in my life and was clinically depressed when I found PBF. Your positive attitude and healthy lifestyle inspired me to turn my life around; I can never thank you enough for that. Now that I am a much happier, better version of myself, I just want to pay it forward! 🙂

I follow the very simple type and publish setup at wordpress and am so eager to expand on that. This program looks to be filled with so much valuable information that I would eat up!! I love writing my blog for the creative outlet it gives me and the satisfaction I feel when I receive a “like” or comment that someone actually enjoyed what I had to say, such a nice feeling to connect.
