Are We in North Carolina?

December 23, 2010 by Julie 62 Comments

Check out the beautiful trees! walk 004Ryan and I stumbled upon this lake surrounded by vibrant trees on a quest to find a new dog park this morning.

Apparently we had bad directions, because we never found the park, but we did enjoy a nice walk among the colorful trees.walk 008Ryan and I both commented that it felt like we were in North Carolina!

If it weren’t for our families and our jobs (two pretty important factors), Ryan and I would probably move to North Carolina. We’ve been there a few times (my aunt lives in Raleigh) and every time we leave, we talk about how much we love the area.

The mountains, wildlife and kind people in North Carolina really appeal to us. Maybe one day!

Workout

We took Sadie on the chilly walk after a good workout at the gym this morning. I did a random cardio workout that looked like this:

  • 30 min. elliptical
  • 1 round cardio blast workout
  • 10 min. elliptical

After our workout and our walk, we we both starving!

Breakfast

Breakfast had to be a fast one to quell our hunger.

Dippy eggs!!! walk 010My plate included two dippy eggs, a slice of Canadian bacon and a toasted whole wheat English muffin.

Naturally I used the English muffin to dip-a-dip! walk 017I think both of our plates were licked clean in 2.5 seconds.

Now it’s showah time before hittin’ up the store for some last minute gifts. We also have my company’s holiday party tonight at the Magic Game!!! Woo!

Question of the Afternoon

If all of the circumstances worked out in your favor (family, jobs, etc.), where would you want to live?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I live in NC and LOVE it. I’m from ATL originally, so I’ve enjoyed the season change in NC. I live just north of Charlotte on the lake where we get snow in winter, and hot summers, and I love the range of temperatures!

If I wasn’t in NC, and if it wasn’t so far away from my fam, I’ld live in Colorado… LOVE Colorado!

I would move to North Carolina, too! I’m planning on moving there after I finish my undergrad, either for work or for grad school. I can’t wait!

Those trees look so beautiful! Who knew there were still trees that had that kind of color in winter?

If I could live anywhere, I would choose the West coast, maybe San Diego.

San Francisco, I think. And I’ve never actually been there. But I do love CA.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE NC!! Before I got married, my best friend and I hiked a good-sized portion of the Appalachian Trail and celebrated the end of our first trek by staying a few days in Asheville. We fell in love with the town. The pulse of the town reminds me a lot of where I grew up in Michigan but with mountains and tons of outdoor enthusiasts. I’d definitely live there if I could choose. You should check it out if you have never been there!

North Carolina is great, I’ll be taking part of my vacation in January in Asheville with a few friends. My husband and I decided to get married and teach abroad, so we are in South Korea and trying to see more of Asia. I love it and wouldn’t trade my decision for anything! I think if I could pick my ultimate place it would be Germany or Argentina, both are amazing places and I can’t wait to visit them again!
