Toddler Book Exchange Party

Today’s blog post recaps a Toddler Book Exchange party I hosted in our house last week. My friends and I had so much fun swapping books for our little ones and snacking on delicious foods from ALDI. Thank you so much to ALDI for sponsoring this post! You may find the ALDI nearest you by…

Friendsgiving

November 13, 2011 by Julie 104 Comments

friendsgiving 005

Our Friendsgiving was a success! After cooking and baking for what felt like two days straight, we had a delicious Thanksgiving feast. My sister and I prepared a bunch of sides and desserts while Ross and Ryan were in charge of the turkey. The turkey recipe they followed had the turkey cook breast side down,…

Welcome 2011

January 1, 2011 by Julie 37 Comments

new year's 011

And just like that, a new year begins. Woohoo for 2011! I hope your year is off to a great start! Even though I went to sleep after 2 a.m., for some reason my body was telling me I just had to get out of bed before 8 a.m. (<—That sentence totally reminded me of…

Game Day Par-Tay

December 20, 2009 by Julie 24 Comments

The University of Central Florida (UCF) football team isn’t exactly world-renowned. When our team is invited to play in a bowl game, it’s a pretty big deal. Needless to say, the UCF vs. Rutgers bowl game in St. Petersburg gave UCF fans a great reason to travel two hours south from Orlando to party and cheer for…

Did You Try It Yet?

December 18, 2009 by Julie 12 Comments

Well, did you? Click here to accept the challenge I posted this morning. This game is maddening! Wanna know what’s even more maddening? Ryan got it on his first try in 15 seconds. It’s okay, you can hate him. I did. But only for .05 seconds and it was out of complete jealousy. This game…

Instagram post 2193655309847019162_40044681 Busted out of the house last night for a Las Vegas themed holiday party! 🎉 Name that movie! 🐯👶🏻 #tigerslovepepper #babycarlos
Instagram post 2191873802065169562_40044681 Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine: The simple, low-maintenance, crowd-pleasing holiday beverage you've been looking for to make for your next holiday party! 🍷✨ This is my go-to recipe because it's warm and comforting and just sweet and cinnamon-y enough to feel like a festive holiday drink. ⠀
⠀
Here are the steps:⠀
⠀
Throw everything into a slow cooker⠀
Allow mulled wine to warm up on “low” for an hour⠀
Reduce to “warm” and top with a sprinkle of thinly-sliced oranges and cranberries⠀
Walk away and enjoy your party⠀
⠀
And the ingredient list is simple, too! Find the full recipe on the blog here: https://www.pbfingers.com/slow-cooker-holiday-mulled-wine/⠀
⠀
Oh and please do not feel the need to splurge on an expensive red wine for this recipe! I once had a sommelier friend of mine tell me that when it comes to making mulled wine, simply choose a red wine you like to drink. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but it simply has to appeal to you without all of the added ingredients that morph it into a deliciously sweet holiday favorite. For this batch, I made the Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine with a $6.99 bottle of Wellsley Farms’ Cabernet Sauvignon from @bjswholesale. Once you pour it into the slow cooker and fancy it up with thinly-sliced oranges 🍊 and pops of cranberry, no one will know you used a bottle of wine that cost less than $7 in the recipe anyway! Enjoy!!! #ad #mulledwine #holidaydrinks #holidayrecipes #slowcooker

Instagram post 2188654049733389965_40044681 I know you don’t get to choose your family but if you did, I’d choose this bunch over and over again. 💚 Another great family mountain vacation in the books! 🍁🍂
