Make big batches of this Hot Cocoa Chex Mix to bring to holiday parties, give as gifts or just crunch on as a sweet treat! The process is very versatile, so mix in your favorite candies and cereals and enjoy.

Supporting Girls On The Run is such a pleasure, and even practices often feel like celebrations. The girls who take part are so energetic and positive, and we have so much fun together.

I came up with this homemade treat for the girls, and when it came to picking the ingredients, I knew I wanted marshmallows and chocolate — they’d told me how much they loved these treats! — and I also wanted something portable and easy to make in large quantities.

Hot Cocoa Chex Mix

Hello, hot cocoa Chex mix!

Hot Cocoa Chex Mix

I added red and green M&Ms, white chocolate chips and hot cocoa powder to the mix to give it a festive holiday flare and really hope the girls love it!

Hot Cocoa Chex Mix

The holiday Chex mix was incredibly easy to make and didn’t require any time in the oven like original Chex mix. I also think it would make a great homemade holiday gift for coworkers. Just pour it into mason jars, tie a ribbon around it and there ya go!

Happy holidays!

Yum! What a cute thing to put in mason jars. I love holiday treats..they’re the cutest! Have you ever tried tiger butter? You would LOVE it. It’s white chocolate and peanut butter melted and mixed together, and then swirled with milk/dark chocolate. Super easy to make, and a great gift for friends/family! (If you have any left after trying it, that is… 😉 )

Hooray, a way to give gifts to everyone without breaking the bank! I forgot that homemade treats make the best gifts, so thank you for the reminder. And I LOVE using mason jars for everything from organizing to gift-giving. We have our GOTR 5K this Saturday (I’m a 1st time running buddy), so it will be a perfect post-race snack!

Just wanted to say that I’ve made literally 8 batches in the past week and everyone (myself included) CANNOT STOP eating it!!!!! I made it with a mix of different m&m’s (dark, almond, and peanut butter) and I even made it twice with cinnamon chips since I ran out of white chocolate. I want to try it with coconut oil instead of butter next! Thanks so much for the recipe, it’s a great way to use up my Costco-sized tub of hot chocolate mix!
