Fast Paced Upper Body Workout

December 3, 2014 by Julie 20 Comments

Good afternoon!

Yesterday I mentioned a fast-paced upper body workout on the blog that I did following my morning indoor cycling class. Today I’m stopping by the blog on my short lunch break to share it with you guys!

This workout targets all of the major muscle groups in the upper body and moves quickly thanks to supersets (the pairing of two exercises back-to-back with no rest).

Fast Paced Upper Body Workout

(And yes, I couldn’t resist using the holiday graphics available in PicMonkey to create the above image.)

Links to demos of some of the exercises:

  • Incline push ups
  • Single leg tricep dips (10 with each leg raised for a total of 20)
  • Mac raises
  • Plank row
  • Tricep push down
  • Bicep hammer curls
  • Dumbbell row

This workout can easily be completed at home if you have a set of dumbbells – just substitute tricep extensions for the tricep push downs!

Additional Upper Body/Arm Workouts:

  • Biceps + Triceps Workout
  • Biceps + Triceps + Shoulders + Abs
  • Upper Body Superset Workout
  • Back to Basics Arm Workout
  • Bicep Workout
  • Shoulder Shredder

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    Hey Julie!

I was just telling my coworker about that article about the guy trying pure barre for the first time, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Do you remember the article name?

    Thanks!

I’ve been on the lookout for a good upper body circuit. I always feel lost when I’m about to work my upper body at the gym. Like, I remember bicep curls and dips and then I go blank! PS. Love the holiday theme.

Thank you for putting this together! I can’t wait to try it out. I was just thinking last night how I needed to start working on improving my muscle tone in my arms so this came at the perfect time!

Love the Christmas-y graphic! So festive 🙂 I like to superset many of my strength training sessions too in an effort to maximize my sessions since I tend to have 40 minutes before getting ready for work. Thanks for some good exercise ideas to mix it up and keep it interesting.
