Maple Cinnamon Whipped Cream

January 30, 2018 by Julie 18 Comments

Maple Cinnamon Whipped Cream

A perfectly fluffy and oh-so-creamy recipe for maple cinnamon whipped cream with just the right hint of pure maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Enjoy this delicious topping on everything from ice cream to apple pie! We have an ongoing joke in my family where we all refer to whipped cream as “vitamins.” I’m not sure…

Whipped Cream Monday

November 4, 2013 by Julie 54 Comments

whipped cream coffee

Whipped cream on a Monday morning! Because I think we could all use a little somethin’ special to get our week started! Side note: Don’t you think whipped cream flavored coffee would be amazing? Someone should get on that if they haven’t already. Weekend How was your weekend? Ryan and I celebrated our anniversary in…

Midnight Leap-Frog

April 17, 2010 by Julie 38 Comments

Normally I love hotel beds and always get a great sleep in a dark, cool, comfy hotel room. Last night this was not the case. My mom, sister and I were up almost all night due to some hotel guests that apparently thought playing leap-frog in the room above ours after midnight was a great idea. Then,…

Cookie Stacks

March 6, 2010 by Julie 12 Comments

Well, we made it. We’re safetly in St. Pete and are about to embark on a wedding-filled weekend! But first, let’s back up to last night, which was full of deliciousness! When we first arrived home, we hung out a bit waiting for my dad to get off work. My sister and I even had enough time…

Dress Hunt Continues

December 24, 2009 by Julie 5 Comments

The hunt for my wedding dress continued today. After a quick 50 minute run with Sadie (she’s the best running partner), I wolfed down a bowl of Flax-Z-Snax vanilla almond hot cereal with pumpkin, cinnamon and whipped cream. If you’re a germ-a-phobe, you should probably avoid the whipped cream can at my house. We’ve been known…

Instagram post 2191873802065169562_40044681 Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine: The simple, low-maintenance, crowd-pleasing holiday beverage you've been looking for to make for your next holiday party! 🍷✨ This is my go-to recipe because it's warm and comforting and just sweet and cinnamon-y enough to feel like a festive holiday drink. ⠀
⠀
Here are the steps:⠀
⠀
Throw everything into a slow cooker⠀
Allow mulled wine to warm up on “low” for an hour⠀
Reduce to “warm” and top with a sprinkle of thinly-sliced oranges and cranberries⠀
Walk away and enjoy your party⠀
⠀
And the ingredient list is simple, too! Find the full recipe on the blog here: https://www.pbfingers.com/slow-cooker-holiday-mulled-wine/⠀
⠀
Oh and please do not feel the need to splurge on an expensive red wine for this recipe! I once had a sommelier friend of mine tell me that when it comes to making mulled wine, simply choose a red wine you like to drink. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but it simply has to appeal to you without all of the added ingredients that morph it into a deliciously sweet holiday favorite. For this batch, I made the Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine with a $6.99 bottle of Wellsley Farms’ Cabernet Sauvignon from @bjswholesale. Once you pour it into the slow cooker and fancy it up with thinly-sliced oranges 🍊 and pops of cranberry, no one will know you used a bottle of wine that cost less than $7 in the recipe anyway! Enjoy!!! #ad #mulledwine #holidaydrinks #holidayrecipes #slowcooker

Instagram post 2188654049733389965_40044681 I know you don’t get to choose your family but if you did, I’d choose this bunch over and over again. 💚 Another great family mountain vacation in the books! 🍁🍂
