Things I’m Loving Friday #35

May 30, 2014 by Julie 97 Comments

Hello and happy almost weekend!

Ryan and I have plans to go tubing in the springs this weekend which makes me incredibly excited. I love a day on the water and haven’t been tubing in the springs since a camping trip with friends years ago. We are overdue!

Now it’s time to rock ‘n’ roll and kick things off with today’s Things I’m Loving Friday post. Number 35 coming at ya!

Things I’m Loving Friday

  • Yogi Egyptian Licorice Mint Tea

Yogi Egyptian Licorice Mint Tea

Yogi Tea

This is probably my all-time favorite tea… and has been for years! A former coworker gave me a bag to try one time and I’m so glad she did. I probably never would have bought this tea on my own because the flavor sounds rather bleh, but I adore it. One cup of this tea kicks off any day on the right note. It’s so soothing and minty and also makes a great afternoon tea!

  • This Dance Routine

The Company Vibe Dance Competition

While I continue to wait for my dance talent to surface, in the meantime I will enjoy watching ridiculously awesome dance routines like this one by The Company at the Vibe XIX dance competition earlier this year. I am thoroughly impressed! (P.S. To everyone out there who loves So You Think You Can Dance, now that Ryan and I don’t have TV, you must let me know if there are any dances we need to watch on YouTube this season!)

  • Twice

Like Twice

I blogged about this service a year and a half ago, but it really is terrific. Twice is a company that accepts gently used brand-name clothing and resells it on their website for a discounted price. You simply ship your clothes to them using one of their prepaid labels and then they make an offer on all or some of the items. You can accept the offer or, if you choose not to, you can pay $5 for return shipping or elect to have Twice donate the unwanted items to Goodwill for free. I just sent the above batch of clothes in yesterday!

  • Dogs React To Cats Sleeping In Their Beds

Cats in Dog Beds

A video for my fellow animal lovers! I hope this makes you smile!

  • Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

After hearing the best things about this show, Ryan and I started watching it a couple of months ago. At first, I couldn’t handle it. It was too stressful for me to watch! I kept thinking people were going to be killed every second and watching it just made me anxious. I told Ryan it wasn’t my kind of show. Well, Ryan kept at it and when he’d start playing it on Netflix, I’d inevitably find myself next to him on the couch, watching the show out of one eye. Before I knew it, I was totally invested and we just reached the final season this week. It’s intense!

  • This Elliptical Workout

25 Minute Elliptical Interval Workout

Yesterday I just wasn’t feeling my workout. On days when I’m feeling particularly lazy at the gym, I like to hop on an elliptical with a magazine and zone out. Well, about five minutes into my time on the elliptical, I felt my energy kick in and decided to complete the above interval workout. It’s a great go-to workout for days when you want to sweat but aren’t in the mood to do anything high-impact.

My finance and I started watched breaking bad on Netflix as well after hearing everyone rave about it but somewhere in the second season I said the same that it was too stressful and not my kind of show, I wonder if I should give it another chance

Loved Breaking Bad! I was the same way, took a little while to get into it I’m high anxiety as it is without so much drama! By the end I was glad I watched it, so interesting and ADDICTING!!

I’ve been loving the weather this week! Buffalo weather has been brutal, but things are looking up this week!

      Thanks another great post, TGIF!

Oh, man! I thought I was one of the few people that drank that tea! I also love it. Well, the regular one, not the mint one, which I’ve never seen. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for it! And I also just sent in a package to Twice earlier this week. Gotta love it!
Enjoy the last episodes of Breaking Bad. It’s really, really good.
I’m loving mixing up my breakfasts. I made overnight oats for the first time and could have slapped myself for not making them sooner. May need to add some extra protein next time since it didn’t hold me over as long as my breakfasts usually do.
      Have fun tubing!

Giiirrrrl yes Breaking Bad is awesome!!! We were obsessed with it, and had some serious withdrawals when it was over. You will probably fall in love with Jessie, but I’m not speaking from experience 😉

I love tubing! Being out on the water is so much fun!

One of my favorite teas at the moment is hibiscus green tea. I bought it in the Kauai a couple months ago and love it!

      Have a great weekend!

Breaking Bad is so Intense. I would have breaking bad parties on Monday nights when it was on TV. Loved that show. I also just finished House of Cards… In record time.

I’ve been loving the amazing weather we’ve been having in MN this week. I’m sad it’s supposed to rain over the weekend when I could really enjoy it.

I guess I like intense shows because I absolutely loved breaking bad from the very beginning. Walter White is a freaking genius! Jesse had my heart though as my favorite character.

I’m loving coconut orange tea!!! I’m not a fan of licorice tea at all…but I just don’t like licorice! Twice sounds great! Ebay with a middle man to take the hassle out the shipping process! Love it!

Ugghh…I totally wish I could dance too! My husband laughs because I am so fascinated by people who are good dancers. Sigh… I’m so glad you reminded me about Twice. I definitely have some things I need to send in. And I’m about due for my annual closet clean-out too!

I probably missed you mention it earlier, but did you guys voluntarily get rid of your TV or was it a matter of going a while before buying another one? I’ve thought about ditching mine especially since I watch a lot of stuff on my iPad.

I’m loving Tazo’s Cocoa Mint Mate tea now. It’s unlike any tea I’ve had before. You can buy it at Publix! Also, I can’t get enough of Wonderful Salt and Pepper Pistachios. They’re my snack fave as of late.

I love clothing consignment. My husband has a deal that whatever I make from consignment, I can double that amount and go shopping. This of course motivates me to sell, sell, sell! 🙂 I have had a serious Junior Mint addiction lately. There is something about candy that comes in pieces (vs. a bar) that I love!

You don’t have a TV either? Any reason? We haven’t had a TV hooked up to cable in close to 7 years. We rarely watch TV (I’m talking I haven’t seen a show since I lived in Canada 6 months ago), and even then it was just Dexter on Netflix. I don’t miss it though! …. do you?

We also do not have cable and haven’t for years. I’m not sure if someone may have already mentioned but you can watch So You Think You Can Dance off Hulu for free. We have had Netflix and Hulu and found that we used Hulu more so we pay for the Plus which allows you to watch it immediately and more episodes at once.
