Total Body Workout

February 4, 2014 by Julie 65 Comments

Good morning! Hopefully your Tuesday is shaping up nicely so far!

Total Body Workout

My day began with a total body workout that I’m excited to share with you guys today.

I warmed up for 10 minutes before completing the following workout that hit all of my major muscle groups.

Total Body Workout

Links to video demos of some of the exercises:

  • Rotating Squat
  • Dumbbell Low Row
  • Plank Walk
  • Bosu Burpees
  • Superman

This is another workout that can easily be done at home as long as you have a set of dumbbells or a resistance band. (Simply do regular burpees in place of the bosu burpees if you don’t have a bosu ball.)

More workouts that require minimal equipment can be found here: At Home Workouts

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning began with a hot mug of coffee and concluded with a protein pancake and a banana.

DSC_0324

DSC_0314

I followed my egg white and oatmeal protein pancake recipe, but use whole eggs and added some chia seeds to the mix as well.

Not too shabby.

Now it’s time to do that work thang!

Question of the Morning

  • Do you ever work out at home?
  • What are some of your favorite at home workouts?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Love this workout! I definitely workout at home, especially since we’re getting so much snow lately and I can’t get to my Zumba class. At home workout DVDs and workouts like this are my best friend these days! 😉

Ooo that looks like such a fun and effective workout! I love workouts that are circuit-style with a bunch of different exercises to keep things interesting.
I really have to try your egg white oatmeal pancake one day. You’re always having it so it must be really good!

I don’t think I’ve ever added a full squat before a push press – only push presses or squat and presses – I bet this gets the heart rate doubly up!
I have been working out at home quite a bit lately, actually. I wish I had more space, but I get ‘er done 😉

Sometimes I’ll do workouts at home, but I feel so much more accomplished when I do them at the gym – partially because I’m job hunting and spend a LOT of time at home. It’s nice to get out!

I haven’t been working out at home as much as I used to because I’ve been really enjoying group fitness classes at the gym, especially during the winter months. It gets me out of the house and challenges me! However, it’s always nice to have a few at-home workouts on file in case of a snow day or Hunter is sick! This looks like a good one – thanks!

I normally run or bike outside for exercise but when I’m in the mood for an indoor workout, I use the NTC app. I like having it tell me what to do vs. making it up myself. I also like doing 20-30 mins of yoga indoors by myself using some routines I have found in magazines. I have a hard time making up what to do next.

98% of my workouts are done at the gym, but yesterday morning my bed seemed extra comfy. I went back and forth on whether to get up and go or not, and guess what I ended up doing? Your “At-Home” Circuit in my basement! 30 minutes and I was done – heart was racing, sweat was dripping, and endorphins were pumping! Thank you!

I work from home and I work out over my lunch so I always work out at home. I have a treadmill which gets tons of use or I run outside if the weather is nice. Which it definitely isn’t right now in Iowa 😉 I’ve been adding in a lot of Nike Training Club workouts ever since I discovered the app after you first mentioned it on here. Love it!!

I have not had a gym membership in several years. Most of my workouts are either swim, bike or run. I go to an indoor city pool for my swim and for biking, I am either on the road or on my bike trainer at home. For my runs, I am either outside or on the treadmill we have at home (we got an awesome deal in order to be able to purchase one for home). I also love the NTC workouts for cross training or other DVDs I have such as P90X. There are so many options out there!!

We’ve taken a break from the gym while we adjust to a new, pre-baby budget, so my workouts are exclusively at home. I took up running (something I never thought would happen) and that is my favorite as it is hard for me to motivate myself through multiple sets of home exercises. For home, I tend to use resistance bands, weights and jump rope, but I get my best workouts when I follow videos, my favorites being Gillian Michaels and some of the Yoga Booty Ballet dvds (‘hip hop abs’ and ‘cardio cabaret’ being the most fun)!

Love this workout routine! I’m not a person who works out at home unless you count going for a run. If I’m not running, I go to the gym. It’s more motivating for me to be at the gym. I like to show off a little too! I’m small, but I’m mighty strong when it comes to lifting weights! 😉

I hardly ever workout at home (I try to be outdoors as much as possible) but with the current crappy weather in PA, I need to figure something out. I’m considering buying a rower that folds up. I live on the top floor in a tiny apartment, so anything that requires jumping or too much space is out of the question…haha.
